Hello!  If you’re taking the time to read this, you’re considering lessons with me, so thank you!  I’d like to take this space to share a little bit about myself.  

I studied at Towson University and Peabody Conservatory. I also have extensive pedagogical training from institutes around the country and am a certified Suzuki piano instructor. Music has been one of the strongest, most influential aspects of my life and I teach because I hope to pass that joy onto others. 

I have quite a few years (40+) of teaching experience.  My greatest joy is customizing lessons to meet the unique musical needs and interests of each student.

Music is a part of everyone’s life, even if you are simply a listener. The more you know about a subject, the more you enjoy it and this is especially true for music! It is always my goal to help students understand as much about it as they can, no matter how big or small a role music may play in their future. Whether they ultimately use their knowledge to become professional musicians, hobbyists, or just music appreciators, I hope to give them the tools to enhance their joy and understanding of music for the rest of their lives.  

I believe that playing an instrument is a skill anyone can develop with practice.  I look forward to helping students of all ages & levels progress one step at a time to whatever level they wish.  I believe it is my role to inspire and guide my students down a path of increased knowledge and skill.

My philosophy is that any student who is properly nurtured can learn to play the piano beautifully and grow in their love of music.
